5 Reasons why you should start your own business

So you are thinking about starting your own business? I´ve already started mine, and I can tell you that it can be wonderful and terrible at the same time. Here are 5 reasons why you should dive into entrepreneurship right away, all from first hand experiences…

1. Motivation
It is so much more motivating when you are working on something that is for you. Something, that in the long run is meant to make you money, and not your boss (or probably the manager of the manager of your manager).

2. Good coffee
That´s right, coffee. If you are working at a company that is anything like the companies where I have worked, the coffee is probably awful! One of those big machines that barf out hot(ish) water mixed with brown powder, do you know what I mean? If you own the office or work from home you´ll regain power over the coffee policy, and you can finally make yourself a decent cup of joe.

3. Choose your own work hours
Are you a morning person? Can´t get out of bed? Or maybe you like to work 10 hours in a row, or maybe you prefer to take a 5-minute break every hour. It doesn´t matter, you are the boss!

4. No work uniforms
Work in your pajamas if you want! Take off your shoes, lay down, do whatever you want. What´s not to like about that?

5. Choose a task that you feel like doing
Feeling tired? Pick a simple task. Highly concentrated? Do that one job that needs a lot of concentration. Of course you´ll need to meet targets of your own to make ends meet, but you can schedule things so that they´ll best fit your mood and competencies!
